Grow All The Mint And Basil You Want From Just One Plant Using This Simple Trick

Mint and Basil are really useful herbs for everything from cocktails to kebabs, but they can be tricky to grow from seed. Luckily they both grow incredibly well from cuttings, as long as you know the simple trick that I show you in this video. It’s all about where you cut the stem!

You don’t need rooting hormone, you don’t even need soil to get these to grow roots, because we are going to start them in water. You’ll start to get roots on your mint within a little as 48 hours, and on the basil within about a week (it can be slightly longer if it’s cold!) Once you learn this easy little technique you’ll be able to use it on loads of other plants. How to take cuttings is a basic gardening skill, and once you’ve watched this video you will know everything that you need to take cuttings from any plant with confidence.
